Ping Spikes - Gaming

Hello, I have been having terrible ping spikes recently while gaming. When I first moved into the apartment and had xfinity set up, the internet was really great and had no issues. As of late, however, I have been dealing with massive ping spikes that occur upwards of 20 times over the course of 30 minutes of playing video games. It is super frustrating. I even disconnect every other device from the internet to try to help reduce these spikes, but it has not helped. Any suggestions to get rid of these ping spikes?

Hey there, sorry to hear about your issues while gaming. I know how frustrating that can be and I am happy to look into this for you. Please send a DM to XFINITY SUPPORT with your name and address.

Here's how to send a direct message (DM / private message);

Click "Sign In" if necessary.

Click the "Direct Message" icon  in the upper right corner or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon.

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.

Press the "Enter" key on your keyboard to send it.
