Ping Issues with Online Game

I play a lot of online games on my Desktop at home during my down time and one of these games is League of Legends. Normally my ping hovers between 40 and 44, which is expected as running both the trace route command in command line to their servers as well as running the lag test on their own website reflects these results.

However, randomly, my ping will shoot up to 70 - 74 and stay there consistently for several days and then sometimes go back down again. I highly suspect that there is an issues with how my signal is directed on comcasts end as nothing is changing on my end and its giving variations. Again, I have tested the connection directly to the server where the game is as well as their own website tool to confirm what my connection should be and was before, and even when I'm currently getting 70ish ping, the connection tests show that I should be getting around 40.

This is really frustrating to deal with as connection speed really matters in these types of games. I'm requesting someone look into this for me so that I can finally have a stable connection and not have to coinflip what my connection will be like today.
