Ping issue to northern virginia(Ashburn) aws(Amazon web services) servers specifically
Hi, I've been an Xfinity customer for a long time. I'm having issues with low latency gaming and was wondering if it's an Xfinity routing issue or maybe an issue with the Xfi gateway router modem combo. I'm familiar with the bridge mode but was interested if it was a routing problem before I purchased another router. For context, in my area fiber allows for less than 10ms ping compared to my current 25-35ms ping (using cloudping.info test). For context, I live 110~ miles away from Ashburn AWS servers. Even using speedtest by Ookla, connecting to a local Richmond VA Xfinity server (less than 50 miles away) it's 20 +. Thank you for any help that you can offer.
