Picture freeze, rotating wheel

I have a new LG OLED 77" TV connected to internet via a Gateway and Extender. Every 2-4 days my picture freezes and the rotating wheel appears for a short time and then the program returns. The only way to stop this is to power cycle the Gateway. What else should I be doing?
