Persistent Packet Loss for 2 Years Across Multiple Modems and Computers – Need Network-Level Investigation

I've been experiencing constant packet loss on my Xfinity connection for approximately 2 years, and I have been unable to get this issue resolved despite extensive troubleshooting and numerous technician visits.

My current equipment is the Xfinity XB10 gateway, and my gaming PC is connected directly through Ethernet.

The packet loss happens consistently, regardless of the time of day. It occurs across every game I play, not just one specific game.

What makes this especially frustrating is that my connection used to work perfectly fine. I never had these issues before, and something changed approximately two years ago.

Here is everything I have already tried:

  • Restarted and reset my router.

  • Tried multiple different modems/gateways.

  • Replaced Ethernet cables.

  • Replaced coaxial cables.

  • Tested the connection using different computers.

  • Had dozens of Xfinity technicians come out to investigate.

  • Performed extensive troubleshooting on my own.

Despite all of this, the packet loss remains.

At this point, I strongly suspect there is an underlying issue with the outside coaxial infrastructure, signal quality, neighborhood node, or Xfinity's network.

What I am requesting is an actual network-level investigation.

I would like someone to investigate:

  1. The coaxial line feeding my property, including all exterior connections.

  2. Signal levels, upstream/downstream noise, and possible ingress.

  3. The tap and drop serving my townhouse.

  4. Potential neighborhood node congestion or upstream packet loss.

  5. Any other infrastructure issues that could explain persistent packet loss.

I have spent approximately TWO YEARS trying to resolve this. I have replaced equipment, cables, tested different computers, and had countless technicians visit.

I really do not need another basic troubleshooting session or another modem replacement.

I need this escalated to someone who can investigate the actual Xfinity infrastructure and identify where the packet loss is originating.

My internet connection used to work perfectly, and I just want it back to that point. Any help getting this escalated to the appropriate network maintenance team would be greatly appreciated.
