Periodically disconnect and no internet

Internet is super unstable. Sometimes at 12 pm while I was playing online games it will automatically disconnected my internet. Though both my WIFI and cable do show they are connected, but I neither open any websites nor continue my online video games. It temporarily work if I turn off and on the ethernet adapter but within a minute or two the same thing repeats. Same thing happening on my phone. When I come back from work, my phone automatically connects the WIFI from my modem, showing connected by no internet service, I had to turn off and on my phone's wifi to get the internet working. What's wrong with that?

I have the same issue. Router suddenly drops connections and, after sometime, reconnects.

RVNY is your modem turning off or resetting when you're closing connection?

@pointer243 Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums! I definitely understand how frustrating it is if you aren't able to connect to your in home Wi-Fi. Just to confirm, it sounds like you are seeing that the devices are connected via Wi-Fi, but there is no internet connection correct? If you were to connect a device directly to the modem via Ethernet are you able to connect without any issues? Also, can you confirm if you are using a Xfinity Gateway or your own equipment? Are you also using a stand-alone router?

Hi,

No, wifi is just one of the options I tried connecting but failed. I was connecting via cable on my router. Not just that, all cell phones that connect to the modem wifi would also have this problem. Getting disconnected during midnight and when I come back from work, the connection no longer works. The only way I can do is to turn off then turn on my wifi on my phones. The modem is the verified equipment Motorola MG7550.

pointer243 Is there a splitter between the modem and cable wall outlet? Since this has started have you tried replacing the Ethernet cable between the modem and router to see if that helps for the WiFi issue?
