Packet loss in Fort Myers

Hello. I am getting packet loss all throughout the day and it is extremely annoying. I ran WinMTR and can see that it is happening on Comcast's end. It is even happening late at night.

This is certainly not the experience that we want you or anyone else to have with your connection, @zbharaf. Have you attempted any troubleshooting on your network to see if that helps, such as powering off and on the Gateway/router/modem or running the troubleshooting steps on the Xfinity application if possible? Does the packet loss seem to happen to multiple devices or on one specific device or application?

@XfinityJoshD Yes, I have tried restarting the gateway multiple times. When I test packet loss it typically shows up both on my phone and on my computer. I have tried plugging a laptop directly into the gateway and still see packet loss. WinMTR shows it happening at a few different hops (but 0% dropped between my device and gateway), but most of the dropped packets seems to be between my gateway and the first comcast server that it jumps to somewhere in SWFL.

I appreciate the additional details as to what's happening with your connection. Have you had the opportunity to replace the inside coax line leading from the wall outlet to your modem?

I no longer work for Comcast.
