I just noticed on my internet data usage that,  if you unplug the small Pace x1 cable box that is connected to the incoming coax, my data usage fell from 900GB in January to 575GB in February.  That box was always plugged in but the TV was used at most 1 hour  a day.   No other changes to usage or internet usage or wi-fi tv usage.  Just unplugged the box.   So it looks like Comcast is using MoCA to communicate behind the router so that it does not show up on the network, but also charging us for some type of data that is used when we are not watching the tv.

Greetings, @user_sryqmj! I hope your week has been treating you well. Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your cable box, but you have definitely come to the right place for assistance.

I'm glad to hear your data usage went down after the box was unplugged. Were you planning on getting the box replaced, or did you just want to turn it in? Our Customer Security Assurance (CSA) Team can investigate any issues surrounding data usage, if you are still experiencing discrepancies. You can reach out to them online by visiting https://spa.xfinity.com, or you can call 1-800-934-6489 between the hours of 8am and 12am, 7 days a week, and ask for the "CSA Team" directly.
