There maybe a variety of reasons for a service interruption. As a quick reminder the most effective way to get interruption updates for your area and information about your service is to visit https://www.xfinity.com/support/status or use the Xfinity app. For me it helps to know if the issue is isolated to me or more widespread. And, if nothing is reported you can even use the same tools to troubleshoot.

As a customer myself I know how important it is to stay informed during service interruptions which is why I wanted to share if you’ve registered your mobile number for Comcast Alerts, you’ll receive helpful text updates, including interruption details, estimated resolution times, and a final message once service is restored. You can also text OUT to 266278 (COMCST) to check for interruptions in your area. (Standard messaging and data rates may apply.) If you'd like, you can opt in to receive a text as soon as your Xfinity service is back up.
