Outage after losing power.

After my power trips and comes back on my modem won't reconnect and gives the dreaded blinking green light. I go thru all the modem reset procedures multiple times and then end up having to schedule an appointment for 3-4 days later. A Comcast tech came out and replaced my modem last time. Everything was working fine last night and we didnt lose power. Today blinking green light all day.

I checked for outages and there are none in my area. Lol The map even said everything is good at my address.

I live in an area with poor data/cell reception so really need my internet because my wife and I primarily work from home. I have been a Comcast customer for a long time but am beginning to consider ATT fiber because it is half the price for the same speed and my friends that have it say it is very reliable.

Anything you can do for me?

Hello, @user_a82b32. I know how important it is to stay connected when you work from home. Please allow me to help you get this fixed ASAP.

Could you send me a direct message with the full name and complete address for your service?

To send a direct message [private message]:

Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

   - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

   - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

   Press Enter to send it

Following up. Tech arrived and found that the problem is at the pole because a bucket truck arrived a couple hours later. Second tech in the bucket truck went to work and then drove off. My modem's blinking green light turned into a blinking white light. Checked the status page and saw this:

"Repairing your services

The issue in your area will take a bit longer to fix. You can check here for updates. We appreciate your patience."
Guessing my neighbor's giant pine tree that is laying on the lines and  literally bending the pole is the problem. Maybe Comcast will be smarter than ATT and not just run their lines on the other side of the tree waiting for it to fall and snap the pole....

Bucket truck was out front this morning and I started to go talk with tech and they drove off. Came back into house to see if internet fixed and my blinking white light is now back to blinking green after several restarts.  Got the msg below while I was running errands:

"Hi Me, it's XA.

Our Xfinity maintenance work is complete and your services should now be restored. If you're still experiencing issues with your service use this link for more help https://t.xfin.me/2E55524m

TxtHelpOrStop"

Got back home and restarted/trouble shoot still green. 1 more chance to get this right. See end of my first post.
