Other people who shouldn’t be accessing my Wi-Fi through Moca

  • Moca was on and random devices were added to our wifi
  • We called and you added advanced security
  • 2 days later we are seeing people connecting who shouldn’t be
  • Xfinity turned off the moca but then they started back up
  • MoCa is the connection type
  • we would like to have someone come to our apartment to fix the router at no additional cost.

Yes. We've seen many posts here that the MoCA feature gets turned back on with their overnight reboots / updates for the device. You really need to install a MoCA P.O.E. (Pont Of Entry) filter on the input port of the first splitter off of the street drop  like this one:

Or you can get one for free at your local Comcast / Xfinity store.

It will block your neighbors from being able to access your home network even if the MoCA feature is enabled.

We would be happy to assist. Please send us a DM with your full name and address to Xfinity Support.

To send a direct message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
