Open Nat Type for Call Of Duty Black Ops Cold War - Never works. March 1st 2022.

I've struggled with this far too much. I even had a page with everything I wanted to post but thanks to bad luck the whole post was gone and had to start over! So lets start all over again from the top and let's see if we can get some real help on this issue.


First off this whole Port Forwarding issue is a massive pain. And I'm starting to think that it will NEVER work correctly - for me anyways. Secondly there has to be a much better support out there to help with these kind of issues as well or at least a button to force the NAT type open for video games over all.

Let's start with the Port Forward numbers. Now for this game we need these ports added: https://support.activision.com/content/atvi/support/web/en/articles/ports-used-for-call-of-duty-games.html

Before we add the Port Forwarding in I have also disabled the Advanced Security settings on the Gateways because it makes the issue react worse then it needs to. Once this was turned off I added in the Port Forwarding and it was successful!

Then; I also found that the DMZ needed to be changed to Enable UPnP. Done and done!

However with ALL of this information and looking this stuff up NOTHING is working and the game STILL does not allow me to join my friends in games or even find other players in the game. I ended up calling CS to get help but not even the dude/person/rep over the phone could help or even understand what I was even talking about. So none of this makes since to do all of this looking around online for help, instructions, guides, if nothing flat out does not work like it should. You're not able to contact Activision or Treytech for direct Tech Support and Xfinity has failed on Tech Support on my NAT related issues. Why is that when we try to use simple equipment it never works? Why is it that when I ask for a manager because the guy over the phone doesn't know what I'm going on about the manager only types to him and not willing to take over the phone for this kind of thing? I mean it's not like I was going full blown Karen on anyone lol! Any help on this would be great!

Side note: It would also be great if we just had only ONE button to do all this for us instead. :P Auto open NAT types.
