Just connect your Ooma to the router or gateway as any other device. Depending on which version of the Telo you have, that can be through Ethernet or WiFi.
The Ooma Telo base can act as a router. They recommend connecting your computers through it, but that is a BAD idea. It only support 100Mbit Ethernet. Just connect it as mentioned above.
If you need help, you can check out the Ooma forums (there is a recent bug and it will log out you whenver you leave the site for some reason):

What make/model router do you have? Does it have empty RJ45 ports for network devices? What model Ooma device do you have?
