odd little icon

For lack of what it is I am calling it an icon.  It is located right in with the address bar.  It is a circle, and inside it is two little things... a small circle followed by a dash and just below it a dash with a small circle.  It is located where the HTTP or HTTPS used to be.  Can anyone tell me what it is?  This is while I am using the Chrome browser.  I noticed it recently as I was not seeing HTTP or HTTPS anymore or the little lock.  However those things are there with using Edge.
