thinking of upgrading to 600Mbps, could someone please advise how many ethernet ports it has? some say 2 some say 4. would like to know before I make change over

It depends on the specific model that you receive. Not to worry anyway. If you do need more ports, you can always connect a relatively cheap ethernet switch to it for the purpose of port expansion.
