Not Receiving Advertised Internet Speeds
Yesterday I was upgraded to a 1000 down, 100 up plan however I am only receiving 715 down, 6 up. My previous plan was also 100 up and I was getting those speeds. My router and modem both support the advertised speeds. Router: Nighthawk R7000, Modem: Arris S33. I chatted with two different people yesterday who said they would fix the issue but nothing has changed. The speed tests were done on a wired connection and also directly wired to the modem to remove the router from the equation. Has anyone had this and found a fix? I have searched quite a bit but haven't found a good answer.

@user_c8uedc Welcome to our Community Forum! Thank you for reaching out so we can help with your internet speeds. Our next generation speeds utilize a newer technology that not all modems are compatible with. You can see a list of third party modems that work with our increased speeds here. We continue to test third party modems and add them to the list once they are able to reliably deliver the speeds.
I'd like to take a closer look at things and figure out why your download speeds aren't as fast as they should be. Please send a direct message by clicking the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, click on the pen and paper icon, then enter “Xfinity Support” in the “To” section. Please include your name and address and I'll be happy to help.

I have had a similar issue. I have the 1200 Mbps and I routinely only get speeds of around 300Mbps. It is incredibly frustrating and actually threatens the ability of me to do my job.

Please create a new topic of your own here on this board detailing your issue. Thanks. The original poster has not returned. 3-month-old dead thread is now being closed.
For future reference, it is better to submit your own post as it creates a ticket to get help, and posting on someone else's older thread can delay getting help.
