Not getting upgraded upload speeds

There was recently work done in my area to upgrade Xfinity internet, with the internet down all day earlier this week, and now the broadband label on the xfinity site shows faster upload speeds being available. Unfortunately I am still getting the slower speeds despite restarting my router. Can you check how I can have the new upload speeds provisioned to me or if there is something I need to do?

Hello @user_alv94k have you received any mailers or email communications stating your speed has been enhanced? Also, you'll need the proper equipment to achieve those speeds. Are you using a rented Xfinity gateway or customer owned equipment? We offer a great support page here to help you shop for Comcast approved devices.

I have not yet received communication - I just see the speeds being available in my building (including the 2gig service). I am using a rented xfinity gateway (XB7). Do I need to request a new gateway?

user_alv94k,

I'll dive into the account and review the availability. If you see the faster speeds available to you online, it's a good sign, but we'll double-check to be safe. I ask that you reach out privately, so we can cover the details of your account. You can start by clicking the chat icon located in the top right corner of your forums page when signed in. Once there, you can direct your messages to "Xfinity Support." Please add your full name and service address to help us locate your account. Let me know if you have any questions.
