not getting the promise speeds by comcast (my case is upload speed)

After many calls I'm still not getting the 100mbps upload speed on my plan.

why?????? many people say to call and they will fix it. (i already called them and i still don't have the speed)

my question is simple why does the customer need to call you, when you are already charging them for the speed???????

and yes my equipment is rated 1gb upload/download, and of course they are always blaming your own equipment but its not, ITS YOU COMCAST!!!!!! PROVIDE THE SERVICE YOU ARE GETTING PAY FOR

Hello, there are very few customer owned modems that are eligible for the improved upload speeds at this time. Can you confirm the make and model of your equipment for me?

If is not, then post the modems capable on the notes with a big asterisk so people know they are not getting the speeds promise

A lot of devices are rated for the speed, we simply have not granted them access on our end yet as it is new for us. We originally required our equipment and a Xfi Complete subscription, then it was changed to just our equipment, and now there are four different approved models that can get it. This has been outlined in every communication regarding the improved speeds. As for your model specifically, it is not one of the four devices currently eligible. Those devices are:

These opinions/views are my own and not the opinions/views of Comcast/Xfinity.

While your modem may be rated for the speeds in question, in order for correct boot files (speed instruction set) to be created for customer owned modems, vendor support for OFDMA from the manufacturers is required. Unfortunately, my understanding is that the vendor support required is still being worked toward but not yet completed for most make and models of customer-owned modems. This is why certain upload and download speeds that are offered in the Next Generation upgraded areas are restricted to the rented gateways and select models of customer-owned modems. It isn't that the company won't support or provide those speeds on customer-owned modems; it is that currently, the company can't support those speeds on all customer-owned modems because of required vendor support needed from the manufacturers in order to do so that is currently being addressed.
