Not Getting Advertised Upload Speed

I recently checked my xfinity account and noticed that the previous upload speed for the Gigabit Plus Internet plan went from up to 35 mbps to up to 200 mpbs. I assumed that I would be getting the 200 mbps so I upgraded my Arris SB8200 modem to an Arris S33v2 modem.

After activation I was still not getting the advertised upload speed regardless of whether I connected my computer directly to the cable modem or not.

I contacted tech support and was informed that a technician would try to resolve the issue within 2-3 hours by text or e-mail but have not received anything.

Can someone please confirm if San Jose, CA has received the increased upload speed?

Thank you.

@clairevo Hey there, I hope you're having a great weekend. We did make some changes to our Gigabit Extra speeds recently. Those speeds will be up to 1.2 Gbps/35 Mbps, however, if you live in a Next Generation area they will be 1.2 Gbps/100 Mbps (without xFi Complete or 1.2 Gbps/200 Mbps (with xFi Complete). You can check Gig Extra eligibility online at https://www.xfinity.com/gig. I do see you sent us a message as well, and we'll work to see if you're eligible for the Next Generation Speeds.

I have the 2Gbps/200Mbps plan with xfi complete and I’m getting no where near the upload speeds. I can get 2.1Gbps download and aroun 125Mbps upload.
