No way to activate a modem in the app?

The latest app doesn't show the "devices" page anymore.

How do I activate a CPE modem with the app? Or better yet, without the app on the web?

Funny, I had to call in to get it activated, took 3 different calls over 2 days, since the "Devices" page didn't exist in my app.

Now that I'm on my own modem, guess what's back?? 

Yup, I now have "Devices" page again.

[Edited: "Inflammatory"/"Language"]. They do anything they can to prevent us from removing their equipment.

No one is afraid of anything.  The reason that it was made private [now twice] is because of a Guidelines and Acceptable Use Policy violation.  You might want to review those.

I have found that when my rented Xfinity device was in "bridge mode" the app would not show the Devices section or give you any way to activate a new device. Taking the rented Xfinity device out of "bridge mode" eventually brought back those missing features to the Xfinity app.
