No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out

I recently upgraded my cable modem to an Arris S34 and have had many issues.  Comcast Technician removed an old device from my house (signal enhancer) yesterday that appears to have helped however I still have network disconnects and the S34 Log show's this issue every 2 hours or so.  

No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out

What do the modem's signal status values look like ? Try getting them here; http://192.168.100.1  

Please copy all of the text in its entirety of the *Downstream Power Levels*, the *SNR's* (Signal to Noise Ratios), and the *Upstream Power Level* numbers and paste them into your next post.

Please post the error log entries as well in their entirety (copy and paste them, don't post a screenshot) but redact any CM MAC and the CMTS MAC addresses for privacy. This may or may not be the root cause of the problem (YMMV), but it should be addressed regardless. The downstream power is too high. Are you sure there are no amplifiers somewhere on the coax line leading to the modem ?

They actually removed an amplifier and that improved disconnects but sounds like the speed is too high. Ironically the increased my speed. I guess I'll go back to Comcast support, although that has been a challenge.

I'll repeat this again for posterity's sake. This may or may not be the root cause of the problem (YMMV).

Ok so if there are no amps on the line, you can try installing a -6 dB attenuator pad such as this one on the coax port on the rear of the modem to knock that power level down and see;

@XfinityAbby@EG I put in an attentuator and appears there is no impact.  I've included my logs and status again.  Any ideas?  This all started when I replaced the modem with the S34 and xfinity said they had to increase my speed to use the new S34.  Thanks

I replaced my modem with a new S34 to see if that changes things and definitely difference in the logs but I'm not smart enough to interprete them.  @EG @XfinityAbby any thoughts?

The signal values are good. And there are no uncorrected bit errors so far. But the error logs still have some entries showng something may still be going on. Are you still getting dropouts ?

No drops outs and definitely less errors in the logs.  Will let it run for a bit.  Not sure if this is related however when I attempted to replace my home gateway router (ASUS) to a new gateway router, xfinity won't give my new gateway/router an IP address.   Probably worthy of a separate thread.

Did you power-cycle / reboot the modem after connecting the new router to it ?
