No Internet When Connected Directly To X3 Gateway
I'm helping my parents with their internet. They are only getting between 150-200 Mbps on their wifi. I plugged directly into the X3 gateway this morning and could not get any internet connection. Is this something that should work?

@user_d84d9f thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums. Your parents are lucky to have you helping them out! :) Did you check all the connections between the modem and the wall plate, as well as ensure the modem has power to it? If you still were unable to access the internet I would then recommend checking for service interruptions by logging into their Xfinity app, which will also allow you to perform some troubleshooting. I've found that 9 times out of 10 troubleshooting through the app resolves most problems. Let us know if you still need assistance.

For clarity. You are saying that their WiFi works but that ethernet port doesn't. Correct ? If that's the case, have you tried using the other ports to see if they work ? Try using a different ethernet cable as well to rule that out. If nothing works it looks like you may need to get it swapped out. That model is a bit of a Dinosaur anyway.
