No internet no help
So, my internet went out at 1 pm and my modem started blinking green. I checked the out map which had a ! over my area and surrounding neighborhoods. Three hours later, I checked the map again and it said no issues reported. I rebooted my modem multiple times and then called support. A half hour on the phone to be told a recent upgrade was just completed in my area (which I guess explains the guy sitting in the Xfinity truck at the end of my street today) and there shouldn’t be any issues…..so a tech will need to come out, but the first appointment is not for 72 hours. Funny.

Update to the issue. I regained internet connection sometime between 10 pm and 7 am. I went on the Xfinity site to enter my outage dates so my bill could be credited and the response was “you don’t qualify for a credit because there was no issue in your area”. I guess my modem just mysteriously repaired itself overnight or a tech savvy person broke in my house and did a good deed. Thanks Xfinity, you’ve at least motivated me to look into a new provider.

Update #2 - my internet is out again and when I go to the outage map, it says “technician is working in the area, you may experience interrupted service”. That would explain the 3 guys wearing Xfinity vest with a ladder on my neighbors house. Let’s see what reply I get this time when I ask for my bill to be credited…..
