Nintendo Switch WiFi

I recently got an xfinity gateway modem router. The security setting it defaults to is a WPA3-Personal. I also had to recently change my WiFi password. The issue I’m now having is that I can’t connect my switch to the WiFi. If I change the security setting on my router to WPA-2, I loose internet connection. When I put in my WiFi password on the switch, it says it can’t connect and to check WiFi settings.  Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to fix this issue. TIA!
