Nintendo Switch 2 Connecting to XB7

I have an "XB7" modem and my switch 2 is unable to find or connect to my wifi. I have a switch 1 which connects perfectly with no issues and currently connected but my switch 2 will not. I have tried refreshing my networks so many times and it still isn't showing up. I've tried restarting my modem, restarting my switch, changing my network settings, manually inputting my wifi into my switch 2 exactly how it shows on my switch 1 - all without any luck.

Thank you so much for any help or assistance.

Thank you for posting on our community forums for assistance, user_6z97lc. I'm sorry to hear your Switch 2 isn't connecting to the internet. It looks like you’ve already tried many of the initial troubleshooting steps. Is this the only device having network issues? Also, have you had a chance to test it with an Ethernet cable to see if it connects that way?

I have the same issue! It was working fine up until about 2 weeks ago. I had an XB7 and I tried to troubleshoot it multiple times. Ended up calling an Xfinity tech to come and check it. He changed my unit to a XB8 and it still does not work. He didn't know a way to fix it. I have tried multiple things like splitting the bands, disabling the 6ghz and it still doesn't work! I'm so frustrated. Please help!

Hi! I had the same problem that started about a week ago. My switch 2 was working fine until it just stopped recognizing my network. I was so frustrated. Talked to Nintendo Customer Support, talked to Xfinity Customer Support. They couldn't figure it out. Had an Xfinity tech come by and he couldn't figure it out either.

But then my husband had an idea because we were thinking they were dealing with an interference problem. This might sound absolutely nuts, but I folded some aluminum foil into a 6x6 inch square and literally just laid it on top of the XB8 modem and I kid you not, it worked!! It was the silliest thing that was mostly supposed to be a joke but it ACTUALLY WORKED!! I hope it works for you too! This was the most frustrating week ever and even more frustrating that it had such a silly solution! Hope this helps!
