Nighthawk AC1900 C7000v2 Activation issues

I'm trying to connect a Netgear C7000v2 to Xfinity. When I go onto the Xfinity app and proceed to ‘Activate a device’, I enter the MAC address, but Xfinity cant connect/register the device. Is it a supported device? I also reset it, and then tried again with no luck

I originally set up my friends Nighthawk modem/router while I waited for mine to arrive with the movers. I still have the box and it says it works with Xfinity, but it’s like 5 years old.

Do I need a firmware update? How can I do that if I cant it.

@baysider Thank you for reaching out! I haven't checked the list of supported devices in a minute but when you enter your address and speed here does the modem come up?

I figured it out. It’s supported but I had the wrong AC Adapter plugged it so it wouldn’t get online. I never knew that mattered. First time for everything
