New Xfinity Install Issue

New Xfinity installation. An Xfinity tech came to my house and would not install the Xfinity box on the outside of my house where I needed it installed. He said it had to be next to the electrical meter.

Previous owner had it installed on the side I need it installed now. There is an existing cable and ground already in place where I need the cable installed.

I called Xfinity and they are sending a new Tech. How can I get a new tech that can install the box in the correct location?

If we can’t get an Xfinity tech to put it in the location we need, the line needs to be buried

Thank you

Hello @user_v62hb9 thanks for reaching out to us about the installation. I hope I can help out and see about having the connection in the requested location. To clarify things, are you requesting to have a cable box for your TV installed in a outside location at your home?

Hello, No. There is currently no Xfinity installed. New installation, so the Xfinity connection has to be installed.

I need the connection for the house to come in on NW side of the house not S-W side.

I hope that clarifies my question.

Thank you

Thank you for that information, @user_v62hb9! The reason for needing to have the box next to the electrical meter I believe has to do with the grounding. You had mentioned there was already cable and ground where you want the box. Was the last tech able to verify that the cable was an Xfinity cable? If they do need to bury the cable, this would be something set up by the tech that is visiting.
