New XFi Pods not WiFi 6

I was excited to hear that the pods were finally upgraded with 2X the speed up to 500Mbps, but confused why after releasing a new gateway, the XB7, months ago which has WiFi 6 (802.11ax) capability, they would release new pods that lack WiFi 6 support.

Does anyone know if WiFi 6 pods are anywhere on the horizon? For those of us with Gigabit internet, if Comcast wants us to buy into XFi as a mesh system they’re going to need to do more to compete with the many 3rd party mesh options out there. I see news releases about Comcast testing symmetric gigabit over DOCSIS 3.1 and working towards 10GB residential service. WiFi 6 pods seems like an obvious step towards those goals.

Same question here. I got xfi pods a few months ago, upgraded two weeks ago, but I can’t take advantage of increased bandwidth with pods in place. I took them offline. Luckily the gateway has good range.

I'd like to get some pods, but won't until they are WiFi 6 compatable.
