New XB6 or existing XB3 modem
Comcast/xfinity recommended I upgrade my XB3 modem to an XB6 so I've ordered one from Comcast. I run my network in "bridge mode" with Netgear Orbi routers. It's working great!! I have some hesitancy in changing modems since dealing with networks is always fraught with peril. And there are a lot of negative articles about the xb6 and bridge mode. Has anyone had a positive experience in this type of upgrade? Or can you share whatever experience you have?
Second question. If things go astray, is there a process for reinstalling the older modem?

If you are using it in bridge mode anyway, you may want to consider purchasing your own cable modem at retail and save the rental fee. It will pay for itself in fairly short order.
Look here for approved modems for your subscribed to speed tier;
