New Technicolor CGM4981COM router issues
We had the old router, which could not support reliable video conferencing. XFINITY shipped a new one,out of the blue, the white Technicolor CGM4981COM, WiFI6 router and we have found it to be worse. Our TV's (New Sony) now can not keep WiFI connection, must search and re sign in each time we power on. But more importantly, on Teams/Zoom/Chime/Meet, I can not use the router. Regularly loses connection, voice is garbled, and simply can not do business. Every Zoom, I must run Hotspot from my phone. To make it worse, impossible to get Comcast on the phone or provide much support. So, I am giving Comcast 2 days to try to fix, then I am moving to Starlink. Starlink has free starter kit until 25th. Support: I have rebooted too many times....sorry, power cycle does not fix the performance. Thoughts??

In my experience any single device that tries to cover multiple capabilities (Modem, wireless router, phone, etc.) do not have the capability to handle all of them well. I was forced to use this same modem/ router, but after the poor wifi performance I simply plugged my old reliable Linksys wifi into the Xfinity modem...problems solved!
