New Netgear CM2000 modem - flashing white downstream light

Hello,

I purchased and and activated my new CM2000 netgear modem for Xfinity Gig service.

I did notice that the downstream light started flashing.  No connectivity lost, and everything seems to work as intended. However, when I look at the logs, I see the following:

Any advise would be appreciated on what is causing this behavior (flashing downstream light and error codes in log).

Have you tried power-cycling it ?

Yes. I tried power cycling it, and it goes back to normal, but after a while (random time), the downstream light starts blinking again and same error messages appear again.

It does look like all channels are properly locked and within acceptable levels....

Perhaps it's a firmware glitch ? The signal stats are good. Some error log entries are to be expected. As long as they are not numerous over a short period of time. Bottom line. I wouldn't sweat the light if you are not having any actual issues.

it could be.  This is similar behavior I was having with my previous modem (Arris SB8200), in which the downstream light will change from Blue to Green (as I posted on another forum), so I am wondering if there are any issues going on from Comcast's side....

Anyone here from Xfinity that could shed some light?  Maybe service tech needs to check my lines / signal levels???

You wrote this: "  No connectivity lost, and everything seems to work as intended."

So if there are no real problems, why are you sweating this ?

I was just trying to understand the technical reason of why these error codes showed up and why my downstream light flashes white... That's all.

O/k well I doubt that you'll get any authoritative "technical" explanations here as there aren't any actual CC employed official RF / DOCSIS / network engineers that post here.
