New Motorola MT8733 listed
I have seen that there is a new Motorola MT8733 listed on the Motorola site, also on other sites for sale, currently $409. It's DOCSIS 3.1, supports up to 2.5Gbps, has 4 Ethernet ports (one is a 2.5Gb port), 2 phone lines, and WiFi 6.
I'm currently using a Netgear CM600 with Extreme Pro 800/900 and get max 820 on it, and an Arris 822G eMTA voice modem. The Netgear CM600 is connected to an Asus RT-AX86U WiFi 6 router that I purchased earlier this year, which works really well since it has 3 antennas on top.
The Motorola MT8733 is an all-in-one device, which makes me concerned, as if one part goes bad, you have to replace the entire unit. I wish they made it without the built in WiFi and could just use my current Asus router with it.

Would a Netgear CM2050V work for you? It has no router component but otherwise appears to be similar to the MT8733 and is priced below $300. See https://www.xfinity.com/support/devices.

I ended up ordering the CM2050V today while it was on sale. Hopefully it's won't be a headache replacing the CM600. Sometimes have to call it for them to change the MAC and SN

@BruceW I got the CM2050v installed. My current internet tier is Extreme Pro and was updated last month from 800 to 900 but the fastest I could get on the CM600 modem was 830. Now I'm getting up to 1050mbps.

I haven't tried that configuration, but my guess (someone please correct me if I'm wrong here!) is you'd need to have Comcast assign a 2nd IP address to you. One address would go to the router, and the other to the PC. There's an extra charge for additional IPs and they may not be available in your service area.

@EG @jlavaseur OK, that explains it then, why the switch won't work connected direcly to the CM2050v modem. I can try the Link Aggregate on the Asus ax86u and see if I can get it to work on my PC. I saw on another post there is a new Asus router, model "rog rapture gt-ax6000" that has two 2.5gb ports, but only Newegg has it on preorder for $400, and I just spent $230 on the new CM2050v modem. If I can't get the link aggregation to work, then I (might) get the Motorola MT8733 since it does have a 2.5gb lan port.

The Sprinklr forums seem to have a substantial delay between the time a message is posted and the time it becomes available to the rest of the community. I know that a number of times I've reloaded a page just before hitting "Post" in an attempt to avoid being an echo, only to find out later that someone beat me to it by several minutes. It seems to just be the nature of the Sprinklr beast.
No worries EG! Especially since your post confirmed the guess I made in mine.
ETA: Apologies to the OP for this "sidebar"

I have been trying for the past hour to to get the Asus ax86u bonding/link aggregation to work with my PC.
I have the Lan 1 and 2 ports on the router connected to the motherboards Lan 1 and 2 ports (1gb) and not using the 2.5gb pcix nic card. I enable the bonding/link aggregation on the ax86u but then only 1 of the lan ports gets a connection, so I when I do the Bridge Connection in Win 10, I'm still getting less than 1gb on speed test. I thought that doing the link aggregation on the router basically makes lan 1 and 2 act as a single 2gb port (put using both bonded together) and then in Win 10 you bridge the two connections.

@EG I have even tried the Realtek Teaming utility and with is bonding the two lan ports, the speed is still under 1gb.
Edit: I may have got it to work.
Have to use the Realtek software to make a Team (802.3ad) with the motherboards Lan 1/2 ports. Then go into the Asus ax86u and select the Bonding/Link Aggregation there. After the modem reboots, then have to reboot the PC.
The routers internal speed test page shows 1053mbps from the local Comcast server. Going into Edge browser it shows 1000-1020mbps.

Edit 2: that 1000-1020 on the PC was short lived. After a reboot, it's back to 900, but I checked and the Realtek Teaming is still active (2gb) and the router's bonding is still turned on.
Edit 3: Using the Realtek Teaming along with the routers Bonding/Link Aggregation seems a bit unreliable in speed tests. Over the past 30 min I've seen it down in the 700Mb and as high as 1047Mbps

@jlavaseur Update, it took most of the day getting this to work right (it was working then it wasn't and has to remove drivers and reinstall).
But as of now I have the Asus ax86u with the bonding/link aggregation Enabled using port 1&2 and connected to my motherboard lan 1&2, using the Realtek Teaming software. Sometimes I see it down in the 700-800 when testing, other times in the 900, or 1000-1040. So doesn't seem super constant. I disabled the 2.5gb NIC card since I'm not using it now (was like $40 a few months ago).
I'll keep using this setup for a while and see how reliable this port bonding/teaming is.
I know that TP Link has some new routers coming out with multiple 2.5gb ports and Wifi6E (6Ghz band), which my laptop could use. So may wait and see how much those are.

After a bit more testing, my Asus Laptop that supports WiFi 6 AX is getting pretty constant 1000-1050mbps from the Asus ax86u router (shows a link speed of 2400mbps). But the Router and PC using the Link aggregation/bonding seems to stay in the 750-850 most of the time, 900 range sometimes, and only occasionally over 1000.
