New Modem and Network, access points still connecting to old
Just upgrade via self install the XB8. It had me creat a new network, so I named the same as my old network on the old mode, just capitalized 2 letters instead of all lower case.
get on the new network with most devices…I had to manually connect to the new network, because every thing kept connecting to the old one.
but, I cannot get my ubiquiti UniFi access points to connect. They are wired to the network via a switch.

Thank you for your detailed post, and for joining the Xfinity Forum community, user_mmmk6i. The benefit of using an Xfinity Wireless Gateway is that it puts the technology of a modem and router into one piece of equipment, creating the fastest, most reliable in-home WiFi. I am a customer too and understand that there may be times when you may want to use your router.
To do this on our network, you'll have to enable the Bridge Mode feature on your wireless gateway, which turns off its routing capabilities while leaving the modem capabilities on. Then, you may connect and use your router.
Note: Any ethernet port can be used, but only one device can be connected to the gateway while in Bridge Mode.
When Bridge Mode is enabled, you can access the Xfinity app to manage your account, but you won’t be able to use Xfinity xFi and WiFi Boost Pods features to manage and personalize your network. Learn more about the advantages of xFi here.
If you're a customer with xFi Advanced Security, you won't be able to access this feature if you choose to enable Bridge Mode on your gateway. Learn more about xFi Advanced Security.
In addition, if you already activated WiFi Boost Pods, you won't be able to enable Bridge Mode. You can read more about the network settings required with WiFi Boost Pods here.
And, as a quick reminder; enabling Bridge Mode doesn't disable the Xfinity WiFi Home Hotspot feature (available on some gateways). Check out more about turning your Xfinity WiFi Home Hotspot on or off here. Please let me know if this info helps.
