New gateway will not connect with my thermostat, Ring nor Alexa. I want my old one back!!!

New gateway will not connect with my thermostat, Ring nor Alexa. I want my old one back!!! Or have a technician come and solve the issues.

Hey there user_u8k2fq 👋 I'm happy to hear about your new modem, and appreciate you reaching out to let us know about the trouble you're having with connecting some of your same devices in the home afterwards. I know how essential it is to have things like a thermostat and your Ring to be connected at all times, so we'll do everything we can to get you connected again 👍

To start, I know it's common for devices like your thermostat or Ring devices to need to be connected specifically 2.4GHZ networks, rather than a 5GHZ network or combined Wi-Fi bands that Xfinity modems are defaulted to. If this was the case for your current devices with your previous modem, it would make sense why they are not connecting on your new modems default combined band. Do you recall if you had to split your Wi-Fi bands with your previous modem?
