New Chromecast w/google TV, Amazon Prime Video, and xfinity internet
I've been dealing with this for a while and this has come down to an xfinity/Comcast problem and I can't solve it myself.
Google sent me one of their shiny new Chromecast with Google TV devices a little more than a month ago. Brand new device, right? It works GREAT, except for one little hiccup.
The Amazon prime app won't play any content. The app installs, seems to run, lets me add things to my watchlist all that, but when I go to play anything, shows, movies, trailers, anything, nothing will play.
But here's the hiccup, if I connect to any network besides my home xfinity network, it will play.
All the other apps will play content just fine. It's only the Amazon app.
And it's only when I'm connected to my home xfi router that it won't play content. If I use my phone as a hotspot, it will play. If I connect to my neighbor's wifi (with their permission, as a test, they have CenturyLink) it works.
The device is set to user "guest" on my network, so it's not being limited by any parental controls or anything.
Can anyone help me with this, please?
