Network Enhancement Work In My Area. How long does the work take?

I got this text: 

"Hi, it's Xfinity Assistant.

As a reminder, we'll be doing work to enhance the network in your area starting tomorrow, 03/09. Work will begin early in the morning and our teams will work as efficiently as possible to finish within the day. You can expect service outages at ............ during this time. We appreciate your patience and will text you when work is complete. "

My question is, how long should I expect my internet to be down? I have internet essentials. The 14.95 plan a month. I stream so I'm concerned it'll be out for days from what I have read from other users on social media.

I hope it's no longer than a few hours!!

This sounds like your switch over to midsplits. I took less than a day for me.

Hello there user_cc8c14 thanks so much for reaching out here on our Xfinity Community Forums! Network upgrades don't have defined times, and typically don't keep customers offline very long. Our Xfinity Status Center is your best resource to stay on top of these upgrades.

They worked in my neighborhood yesterday and today and plan on coming back tomorrow. How long do these "enhancements" take?

@user_35opfz​ I have been without services for over a week now, expect major down time...or you will be lucky and have services back up in like 3 hours
Make sure to power cycle your modem after maintenance is complete.

The timeframe for the upgrade work may vary based on the type of work that needs to be done. However, we keep our customer updated on the work that we are doing in their neighborhood via the Xfinity App. Using the Xfinity app, you can also utilize the Xfinity Hotspots around you until the service is restored, and it is free and unlimited. Xfinity Wi-Fi hotspots overview
