I have had Xfinity service in my home since July 2020 and have been having issues ever since. I have a BRAND NEW Docsis 3.1 Netgear CM1200 that constantly times out, loses packets (20-100%), and disconnects entirely for minutes at a time. I am directly connected to my PC, I have also tried with a router, to no avail. I have had a line tech out and a tech in the house who both said the problem was the modem. But replacing it wouldn't help and that the issue could be resolved by Xfinity techs, just not them.... I have tried using my 2 year old Docsis 3.0 Netgear modem and it works just fine, except I pay for gigabit service and need a 3.1 to get the speeds I'm paying for. Why does Xfinity put their logo on the box of this product if it isn't supported and techs can't fix it??? Occassionally the upstream light on my modem will flash also as if it is unable to lock. Further there are times when I only have 1 upstream bonded channel in my modem GUI. I would assume this was a problem with my specific modem had I not read about posts as recent as today with people who have the same modem and same problem. This is either a firmware issue, or a configuration problem that needs to be remedied.
