Netgear CAX80 vs C7800

The selected compatible device list has Netgear CAX80 but I found Netgear C7800 that is very similar to CAX80.  Does anyone know if C7800 is compatible for 1.2 Gbps internet?

No. They rate it only up to 1 gig, not 1.2

@EG I see in the reviews some people used it for 1.2 Gbps (not sure which company) and it works well, so I think it would work.  But, do you know if this modem & router will work for xfinity?

Yes. It will function, but only up to a gig wired. It has only 10/100/1000 ethernet ports. It doesn't have the newest type 2.5 gigabit port(s).

@EG everyone forgets that, sure a modem connection of 1.2 is nice but if nothing on your network can run that fast it only helps with load balancing.  A few years ago it took me months to realize I was only getting ~900mbps because my gigabit was maxing out. 🤣

@user_6fe9ba Go for the CAX80 if you want all your bandwidth.  It isn't perfect or cheap but I have made peace with it.
