Are you trying to activate service to this Netgear with an Xfinity app?? The Xfinity app isn't going to work with this one, and "features" like being able to view the WiFi password with the Xfinity web site are not going to work. The configuration is stored locally, not on a remote database, and it is not accessible with the Xfinity phone app.
You can probably activate it, but I think all DOCSIS 3.0 cable gateways/modems are unsupported these days, so you might not get "plan speed". Still, you can try to activate it. Here's the quickstart guide: https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/C6900/C6900_All_MSOs_QSG_EN.pdf Connect the coax cable, watch the upstream and downstream lights on it and see if the line is active and if it can connect to Xfinity. If it does, you can log into the Netgear if you connect a computer/device to it via WiFi (the default password is on the sticker on it), or with an Ethernet cable. It won't have internet service at that point, but it will redirect you to an activation page if you open a web browser and try to navigate anywhere. Follow the instructions there.

@Jhoulihan4 Were you able to get the modem activated and running or do you still need assistance?
