Netgear C3700v2 modem router combo resets every night within a 30 minute window.

Looking for help with an ongoing issue. Earlier this month I bought a Netgear C3700v2 – N600 WiFi Cable Modem Router to replace my old Motorola modem and my old Netgear router. The problem is everyday around 2:30am to 3:00am it resets itself while we're online. I happened to access the UI and noticed the firmware version changed from V1.02.12 to V1.02.03 during one of the resets.

I looked up the current firmware and according to Netgears KB version V1.02.03 is the current version for Comcast. The problem is the firmware never takes. When this happened the router reset again and I logged back onto the UI and found it reverted back to the V1.02.12 firmware.

I tried chatting with Comcast and they just tell me it's Netgears problem even though the ISP is responsible for deploying the firmware. I try calling Comcast and it is impossible to get through to someone right now. I basically go through the automated system to get hung up on by the automated system.

Any help with this would be appreciated. I'm still within the 30 day return for it, but I am trying to avoid that.

I have the exact same problem on my end with the same model. I talked to Netgear support today and they went through a full diagnostics and did not find anything wrong with the device. They then concluded that the fireware updates are what seem to be resetting the device and I would need to contact Comcast. Did you have any luck with it?
