If you are using a Comcast rented gateway device, this may or may not apply anymore as a lot of features / functionality have / has been disabled.. YMMV.
If you are not using any Xfi Pods, you can try separating the combined 2.4 and the 5.0 bands and give them two different broadcast names / SSID's;
Hey, @user_hodc5m. Thanks for posting on our community forums. I see that @EG offered some help. Thanks, @EG! There's an option on our awesome Xfinity App that will allow you to split the bands. You would select Wi-Fi > Wi-Fi Details > Edit Wi-Fi Settings > And scroll down to Split bands. Let me know if this is what you are looking for!
@user_mnyx65 Thank you so much for your post on managing your Wi-Fi bands. If you are using one of our Xfi-enabled gateways the Wi-Fi channels are managed automatically and there is not an option for you to manage them. You can check out this page here for more information on what you can manage. https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/benefits-same-wifi-network-password-name-xfi-gateway This feature is able to be managed if you are using your own modem. If you would like to see what modem we support you can check out this page here. https://www.xfinity.com/support/devices/
