Need to Have Ethernet Connection Separate from Wifi Modem

We recently moved in this house.  We have had an Xfinity Wifi cable modem in our living room connected to a coaxial port. The house has coaxial ports in most of the rooms.

I bought a NetGear N600 Wifi Cable Modem Router for the living room and just had it activated today.   The wifi seems to be working fine. My office is in a part of the house where the wifi is not good and I want the added security of an ethernet connection.   The office is too far from the living room to run an ethernet cable from the wifi modem router. I also bought a NetGear High Speed Cable Modem CM500 with the idea that I would connect it to the coaxial port in my office.

After connecting it to the coaxial port and my computer, there is a light is supposed to be solid green, but it does it has even lit up,  but the network light is lit.

My two questions are:

2) How do I set up the cable modem with the internet?

My questions are:

You can only have one modem activated on an account. You’ll need a different solution. Research moca connections

Unplug and disconnect the Netgear gateway and connect it to the port in question. If it works, then that coaxial outlet is serviceable. If not, you'll need a tech visit to activate it.
