Thank you for clarifying that @user_9p9aas! Generally our technicians install the modem in a central location that helps maximize wireless coverage throughout the home. There are some cases when the best location requires wall fishing.
A wall fish is a method of running and “fishing” wiring through the drywall. This work requires hiring and paying for a qualified third-party contractor or electrician to complete the work. This third-party contractor would need to use RG6 Quad shield coaxial cable and make sure each outlet is wired individually with a single line back to the point where the cable enters the home without splitting the lines.
Is there a specific room you wanted the modem relocated to? Does this room have an exterior facing wall?

It is an exterior wall. We have one that is run to our basement and we were hoping to have one on the main floor of our house. I was under the impression that you did all of this or at least used to without the need for paying a contractor
Good to know @user_9p9aas! With it being an exterior wall, our tech partners should be able to install the new outlet. The contractor would have been needed if wall fishing was required.

Thank you for reaching back out to us @user_9p9aas! Just to clarify, are you wanting to:
1) Have a new coaxial outlet installed to relocate the modem to a different room/part of the house.
2) Have the current outlet the modem is connected to replaced.
3) Increase the number of ethernet ports for hardwired internet devices connecting to the internet using an ethernet connection.
