To manage your network bands effectively, use a single WiFi name and password for all bands (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz if applicable) on your Xfinity xFi Gateway. This allows the gateway to automatically connect devices to the optimal band based on signal strength and congestion, a feature known as band steering. To set this up, select Simplify Your WiFi from the Overview in the Xfinity app or edit your WiFi settings under the WiFi tab. Ensure your gateway is positioned in an open space to minimize interference for better performance.
I cannot connect 2.4 ghz devices to my new xb8 modem. (ring camera & printers) I don't see the above options to update the wifi to two spectrums. Please explain again.
