NAT and DMZ Issues

I have two clients using Xfinity in the Humble area that are having issues with NAT.  One client keeps loosing access to the open ports, I have to reboot the router about once a day and it isn't an IP/DNS issue, the ip isn't changing I just cannot access the open ports.  I have another client that has new service and trying to set up NAT and it won't work at all.  I even tried putting device in DMZ and still cannot access it.  I disabled firwall completely and still won't work.  Sounded like a router issue so I contacted motorola and they said and I quote "We have been running across many NAT issues with Comcast on our routers, regardless of console or game."  Does anyone know what is going on?

so come to find out, no matter what you set up in router xfinity will still block it through the myxfi.  even if you have port forwarding set up it will block it and then you have to log into myxfi and enable access for the individual IP's trying access remotely and then it only allows it for 30 days.  This is stupid.  If I set up port forwarding I want it to work.  I'm wondering if I switch to a modem if they will still block it.  Is there a way to disable the xfi stuff?
