My Wifi 5g channel jumps back
Recently my wifi 5g has not been working properly and I found out the cause is that my wifi 5g channel is at channel 157. Every time I switch the channel using the Xfinity app or from http://10.0.0.1/, my wifi 5g works for 20 to 30 sec then the channel switches back to 157 causing my internet to become unstable. I used the wifi analyzer and found out that channel 157 is congested and I wonder why the router is picking channel 157 as the primary channel.

Greetings, @user_0407! I hope your week has been treating you well. Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your gateway, but you have definitely come to the right place for assistance.
The Wi-Fi channel selection is one of those advanced controls that gets managed automatically by the advanced gateway. It's not supposed to put you into a congested channel like that, so there may be an issue preventing it from operating correctly. Have you already tried going through the troubleshooting steps in the Xfinity app for a poor Wi-Fi connection?
