My sons connected but can't see it to pause.

I've called and tried everything. My sons Xbox, phone and oculus used to be on the parental setting and timmer to shut off at a certain time. Now I can't seem to see the Xbox nor the oculus and I can't pause him. I've spoke to so many people at xfinity and they are no help. I need to resolve this, I can't keep unhooking and rehooking everything bk up every school night it's ridiculous when we pay almost 400 a month for the services yet I'm defeated by a 13 yr old with it. Help me please

Ha.  You're in an arms race with a 13 year old.  They can be clever and if they are not, one of their friends is.  They also crowdsource information, and parental controls are a big subject with that demographic.  Randomizing MAC addresses is another common way around it, so be on the lookout for new devices connecting.

What can work?  Regular beatings.  Sledge hammer on the xBox......

He might not be on your network.  Xfinity has hotspots -- their gateways have public WiFi access that 'share' your WiFi radio, so he might be connected to that instead of your regular WiFi.  You can try disabling the public facing one.  Log into your gateway (http://10.0.0.1 usually)   https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/disable-xfinity-wifi-home-hotspot?linkId=165401606

Won't help if he's connected to a neighbors house that is in range, but worth a try.  To connect to an Xfinity public hotspot, you need an Xfinity username and password, so if he's got that or is using yours, change your password and disable his account.  That will end his Xfinity email too, so a free one like protonmail or (shudder) gmail for him from now on.

Might be using his cell phone hotspot, or a portable cell pre-paid based hotspot too.  Unlimited is $40/month on some of those.  They will go to great lengths to connect.   Waterboarding may help you discover how he's doing it.  It would have been extraordinarily difficult to defeat me.  Look for a sudden interest in Yagi antennas and long range radio communication too.

@flatlander3  he's c9nnected to the home network. I went on and checked but my home network isn't showing ita connected to it and I shut off the Hotspot. His cell phone runs on wifi also and he has no access to money as he's 13 goes to school and is a home body..

Can you view connected devices from the local gateway (not using the app) at http://10.0.0.1 ?
