my internet has blips at random
I'll first mention i have done all checks on my cabling inside of my apartment. Everything was already as tight as possible but i double checked just to make sure.
I don't have an exact timeframe of when the blips started to occur because i really just noticed this a couple of nights ago where i had a twitch stream running on my pc and i was surfing on my phone at the same time. As soon as i saw the twitch stream buffer my phone stopped loading the tab i had opened up which i believe was google.com. As soon as the stream resumed the phone loaded the webpage. I counted it for about 7 seconds. The uncorrectables and correctables have been high like this for months as well so i'm sure things ar just starting to get worse over time. And the modem lights do not change at all when the blips occur.
In regards to TV, i am not seeing anything wrong with picture quality but i've noticed the remote is VERY delayed at talking to the cable box which in effect slows down every process i'm trying to do and when i choose a channel it has recently gotten noticeably slower to display the show. The last tech visit i had which was 6+ months ago or so, he had seen i had a very old box that i had from when i first moved in (early 2014) though it was working perfectly fine. He grabbed an USED non-dvr box and installed it for me. I would hope using a used box is fine. I didn't think much about it at the time i was just happy to get upped to a newer model box and it appears to be in good enough shape. However the delay times from the remote to the box are very slow. I've read a number of threads which share the exact same issues so i believe the box itself is fine and it's more issues relating to the connection itself. It is slow throughout the day not just at high traffic times when people come home from work, etc.
My hope is when the internet issues are resolved it will in turn resolve the cable box performance issues.
And to note, ever since i have lived here since 2014, EVERY issue that has occurred has been an outside issue and this appears to be no different.
