My internet has been out for 2 days for no reason

My internet has been out for 2 days and my account page says it's due to power being out in my area. My entire neighborhood has power (including me), and I cannot get a real person on the phone! Very frustrating since they all have Comcast and their internet works. All around me people have Comcast internet and it's working, just not mine...

Does anyone know how to get a real person? The chatbot sucks and just repeats the same thing then just hangs up.

Anyone have any suggestions to fix this?! Can I get a call from someone who works on issues?

@user_df776e What have you tried for troubleshooting?  Other than what the page said and that your neighbors have power, which I assume you do as well, we don't know anything else.

Are the lights on on your modem?  Cable and power plug tight?  If no lights on your modem, have you tried plugging in to another outlet?

You need to give us a little bit to go on here.  Remember, this is primarily a customer-to-customer support forum and we're not at your house to be able to see anything.  😉

Run all the basic troubleshooting. Checked all cables, cycled power on modem and router, etc...

Hey there, @user_df776e

We can take a look at your account together here with our team at Xfinity. Thanks for taking the time to post your experience. To send the requested information:
  • Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Direct Messaging" icon
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support"
there. As you are typing a drop-down list appears.
  • Select "Xfinity Support" from that list. An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it

I no longer work for Comcast.

Out of curiosity are you living in Michigan where there were heavy storm damage?
