Multiple SSID (WiFi networks) on Technicolor XB6 router??

I don't see a way on the admin tool to create a second SSID (WiFi network).

My current SSID uses both 2.4 & 5GHz channels which is fine for most of my connected devices.

However, I have a video doorbell that only supports 2.4GHz channel, so I need the ability to create an SSID using only the 2.4GHz channel, like "SSID_24GHz_Only"

Is this even possilbe on the Technicolor XB6, or am I going to have to get my own router to do such a thing?

If you are not using any Xfi Pods, you can try separating the 2.4 and the 5.0 bands and give them two different broadcast names / SSID's;

Associate the doorbell with the 2.4 band's SSID (broadcast name) and password.

Thanks EG, that's kind of a partial solution I guess. I would kind of like to keep one SSID as 'dual-band' (2.4 & 5GHz) and have another SSID that is dedicated to 2.4GHz only. I gather that is not possible with this router?

No, you cannot do it.  Though if you grab any old wi-fi analyzer you will see it doing it on it's own all day long, even with the "public hotspot" function turned off.  Comcast's gateways are rather noisy neighbors, especially as they always choose to use identical channels with everyone else in your area.

AFAIK, the bands can still be separated. You can't change the individual channels that get used anymore. They've eliminated a lot of features a dumbed down the gateways terribly ! A BIG MISTAKE IMNSHO !!
